Nanaten here. The Indonesian Pokemon TGC has been out for a couple of months, yet I still haven't gotten my hands on a single trial deck. It's been one heck of a year for Pokemon this year. Pokemon Sword and Shield, Detective Pikachu and Mewtwo Strikes Back movies, Pokemon Masters, down to Ash finally winning a pokemon league. You can pretty much tell how real the Pokemon hype is right now.
This week's video: an acquaintance of mine, Raayo, did a collaboration with Mr. Goatee and several other youtubers and sang the ending theme of Dumbbell anime.
So this whole week I've been working on scanlation commission. For those who don't remember, I opened ten commission slots (details here). So what it does is you get to bump a series to the top of my priority list of translations, cause there is nothing more motivating for me than money (except being forced to do it at gunpoint). So yeah, if you like for me to do some series, old or new, let me know via DM or in the comments bellow. There's still 7 commission slots open this time, and commissioner also get the psd files of the commissioned chapters, and one month access before I publish them here and on Mangadex (speaking of which, new patreon reward, psd files: yay or nay?). Method of payment is via the donation box at the dashboard (be sure to message me first, okay?).
So let's talk about the new sales tax in Japan. So apparently, starting this month, there's a raise in sales tax in Japan. Now what it means is that the price of Japanese products, such as manga has also been raised. Comico already adapting to this new tax by raising the cost of their manga chapters. I think this is the actual reason why Comico Indonesia was shut down in the first place. The new tax was too much for them to maintain the upkeep of the service, so NHN Singapore just decided to shut the whole thing down instead of increasing the cost of the manga.
About this chapter: usual shout-out to Eva (and Mayu) for the always incredible cleaning and typesetting. At this point I don't know what am I going to do without them. So this whole arc is basically Shimon's redemption arc. He did a lot of damage in Shinonome when he decided to bring Magatoki to the village. The most damaged was his relationship with the Shinonome demons. Their friendship was the best thing that has ever happened to Shimon. He's given up trying to mend his relationship with them, but the demons still hasn't given up on him yet. And this arc show that point. Deep inside, Shimon still thinks of them as his dear friends and he's willing to face his previous comrade to protect them, no matter what happens to him.
So here is the chapter. Let me know in the comments if you find any errors and mistakes. Next week will be an Umakawa update.
