Umarekawatte Mo Mata, Watashi To Kekkon Shite Kuremasu Ka Ch. 7

Nanaten here. These past two weeks has been a strange, alright. Unpleasant things happened: forest fire, mass protests over the new bill, I got cuts on the face by drone propeller. But at the same time things like Ash Ketchum finally won a Pokemon league, Sans joins Super Smash Brothers, Momochi Dori sensei finally made a recovery, and I pulled a Brendan on Pokemon Masters happened. Seriously, it's been a strange month overall.

Here's a news: Miku Morinaga released the final chapter of Umakawa last Friday. I was working on this chapter that I completely missed it. So if you haven't already, go to Miku Morinaga's twitter @miku39_mori and send her cheers and congratulations. It's sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I am glad to see every last one of them got their own endings. For me, the series has always been about the journey, how these characters reached the point they are now. Some journeys are short, some takes a long detour, some even don't reach its destination. And to see how it all came together, even to see way further beyond what comes after is always pleasant.

Speaking of things ending: Comico Indonesia. Unfortunately, I didn't get to back up the Indonesian translation of Ake no Tobari. I couldn't do it from my PC. And I can't stand watching 120 ads on the mobile version just to play 140 stages of vertical jigsaw puzzle. And no, I won't be continuing my Indonesian translation of Ake no Tobari as well out of respect. Unless someone somewhere made a backup of all the Indonesian chapters and give it to me.

About this chapter: shout-out to Thebenefactor for providing the Japanese raws. This is the "How I Met Your Mother" episode of the series where Tatsuko explains how he met Ichinosuke. After what happened in chapter 4 and last chapter, I think I'm starting to get numb over the emotional old Kaoru and Tora scene. It's still heart wrenching, but now I at least am prepared for it to the point I fell melancholic instead of outright sadness. I wish I could tell that to myself a year ago when I first read this series.

A little translation note: On Page 14 is a dialogue about a goddess descends from heaven. The actual Japanese line translates to "Like the Great Goddess coming out of Iwato". This is a reference to Ama-no-Iwato cave where the Sun Goddess Amaterasu hid herself inside. I decided to remove the Ama-no-Iwato reference for the sake of accessibility.

So here's the chapter. Let me know in the comments if you found errors and mistakes in the chapter. Next week will be an Ake no Tobari update.
