Ake no Tobari Ch. 155 & T-Sensei Vol. 5 Ch. 31

Nanaten here. My brother caught a cold and that means I caught one as well. Damn it, after I just recovered from a mild cold a few weeks ago. All that effort I put on exercises and drying my hair after shower properly have gone to waste. So yeah, it's pretty much Snotsville over here.

This week's video: I already shared this on my other social media accounts, so you've probably watched it. This is an Ake no Tobari AMV made by our good friend and artist, Robubead

It's an Ake no Tobari AMV using the song Teardrop from Yu-Gi-Oh GX. It's pretty well made. It's shorter compared to his previous AMV's, but it's simple and have some cool effects. Makes me want to make an Ake no Tobari AMV myself. If you have two minutes to spare, please watch it, like the video, and leave a comment telling him that I send you.

Random stuff: as you can guess from my twitter feed, I'm engorging myself in Fire Emblem Three Houses Golden Deer memes. Probably not a good material for studying the character, but still amusing nonetheless.

About this Ake no Tobari Chapter: now, it's time for a world building chapter. So in this chapter, we are introduced to several lore for the series, served in exposition courtesy of Kokonoe. One good thing about Tobari's sheltered childhood, is that he doesn't know anything about the world the characters lived in just like we do. So he can also serve as the audience surrogate. While that role seemed to be hold by Reimei for some time now, without his presence this time around, it's up to Tobari to take up on that mantle.

As for T-Sensei: This is the end of Volume 5. If you're thinking "Chapter 31? End of Volume 5? That can't be right," I had the same thought as well. Every volume so far has 6 chapters in it, so seeing it end with chapter 31 kinda throws me off. But seeing the content of this chapter being that of a Q&A with T-Sensei, and the significance it has, it's understandable why they want to end the volume at this chapter.

So let's talk about this T-Sensei chapter a little while longer. T-Sensei is a manga adaptation of T-Sensei's actual experience as a nursery teacher. Before it received manga adaptation, T-Sensei shared his experience through Twitter. After the manga ended, he still shares his experience on Twitter, even went on as a speaker for a child care talk. And T-Sensei himself said that on the chapter's afterwards, he wants to share that same experience in manga form. I think this chapter has the most significance for those who is working as a teacher, child-caring, or even those who have kids in general. As someone who is always stuck to take care my relative's kids, I really need these kind of advice. And I will most certainly apply it next time I'm stuck with babysitting duty.

Oh, there's also an afterword from Tanaka Yukue sensei announcing the anime adaptation which I didn't include for one perticular: The anime service is no longer available. I. G. Productions' vertical anime is no longer in service since the beginning of this year. I only watched the first episode I from twitter (some assets from that episode were used for my own manga dub of the series.) I just don't want to get anyone's hopes up, you know? I wish someone made an archive of the first season of the anime so I can watch them.

So here are this week's release of T&T. Next week will be an Umakawa update.
