Ake no Tobari Ch. 15

Nanaten here. I decided to tag along with my friends helping at the landslide victims' shelter (even though I didn't actually do anything beside donating $3). I felt guilty instead of relieved because I wasted everyone's time (and probably supply) by being there. I hope the the real volunteers can relieve the victim more than we did.

There's something called comico marathon in comico webpage. The idea is various artist do a collaborative art of their respective webmanga's character. There's also a Q&A part where authors answered several questions. I'll translate it one I get there.

Here's the chapter. Next week: we get to see the event that follows from the antagonist's PoV.

Tenchi Muyo: War on Geminar Vol. 1 Ch. 5

Nanaten here. Still can't figure out what to say during double updates.

Random stuff: Last Sunday, I did the pre-recording session of Chiisana Boukensha cover. My only impression: now I know the difference between recording with a $25 headphone and $5 headphone.

Previous chapter at the credit page, I said something about that chapter being the only Yukine's appearance. Sorry, that was my fault. I forgot to read ahead and realized that she make small appearance here and there.

So here's Kenshi x Chiaia chapter. Let me know if I made a translation/grammar mistake. Next chapter: Doll joins the harem.

Ake no Tobari Ch. 14

Nanaten here. The finals for my students are approaching and some of them are getting lazy, so I decided to give them the cold shoulder. Something that I learned back in high school.

Random stuff: someone in the comment section of Kissmanga said that there's a BL called Bouzu to Kumo (the Priest and Spider) and I decided to read it. The story is pretty cute and I have nothing else to say about it.

That aside, here's Tsumugi x Reimei chapter. Next week: Tobari x Hibachi chapter and Kenshi x Chiaia.

Chapter 14.

Ake no Tobari Ch. 13

Nanaten here, celebrating one year of Citrus Project. One year has passed since I restarted translating manga. During the course of that one year, things have happened. I finished my first series (albeit terribly), released my first (terrible) cover album, made my (terrible) patreon page. Basically earned my status as a (terrible) amateur translator.

There're many things I wanted to say, but I remembered I already said it back in new year's day. So in addition to that, I just want to say thank you for your support for the past year. Without your constant comments, I might not be able to go on and be what I am today, a self-titled (terrible) translator.

As for my plan for the next year, I think I'll keep going with this. And if things go well, I might consider getting an editor/translation checker (provided you're okay with working for free).

Random stuff: this week I decided to read Scott Pilgrim. Out of all characters, Wallace is my favorite. As Scott's sidekick, I must say he's done a great job. He's most stable out of the main casts. He doesn't have character development, but that's because he already had his life figured out while most of the character is trying to find their own identity (like Knives and Ramona).

This chapter marks the beginning of a new arc. Minori, Sayuri's great-grand daughter is introduced. She first appeared back in chapter 9, telling the yokai gang where Reimei's house is. Now, both girls have appeared. You can ship all you want, but I still think Sayuri is the best.

Chapter 13.

Ake no Tobari Ch. 12

Nanaten here. I can't find any motivation to grade my students' assignments just as I don't have the motivation to translate WoG.

Currently, I'm working on my Indonesian cover for KonoSuba's ED theme, "Chiisana Boukensha". I just got the e-mail from Higgs Boson that the /a/ version is up (one month later). You can check it here (my voice is at 00:36).

The translated lyrics is done. All I have to do is to record my voice.

If you looked to your right, you will find a twitter widget. I put it there so you know what I'm up to. Maybe next I'll be making a fanpage, I guess?

Back to Ake no Tobari, in this chapter, the big bad is finally revealed. Human casts are starting to appear, and start of a new arc.

Monthly Shonen Magazine May Issue

Nanaten's Random Review

It's that time of the year again. Summer Salt Turn and RiN ended in this issue to make room for next month's new series. More on that after the jump. Chinmi and Goku are on the cover for both editions.

Ake no Tobari Ch. 11

Nanaten here. Instead of bringing the hammer down on my students, I decided to go with Carrot and Stick approach. I remember it from "Dangerous Minds" (I should watch it again). And the eight graders seemed to like it. I hope It's go well with the seventh grader.

This week marks the start of April that means things:

  1. April fool's day
  2. New anime season
  3. One month of me being up here in this mountain
  4. Citrus Project's one year anniversary
Thankfully, no one celebrate April fool's day up here, so I'm safe from pranks. However, I'm feeling like pranking people. There are many ideas I want to pull on this blog like uploading doodles instead of actual chapter, giving mustache on every character, deleting all my posts and change it with my sexy pictures.  I want to go wild. However, I didn't make any preparation for any of that so you're safe... for this year.

For the past two weeks, many anime have aired their series finale. And to coping for that, I decided to read Baccano novels. Let's just say I now see Miria in a completely different light. If you read 1933 and 1934 again, you will notice that there's more of Miria than meets the eye. I just hope that Mist can finish Peter Pan in Chains so I can say I have read all the books (published ones).

Now I'm on my second month up here in this mountain. I've gotten used to living here and everyone has gotten used to me and my habits of being a shut-in. I just hope that for the next two months, nothing wrong will happen.

This month will mark one year of Citrus Project on April 14th. Again, I didn't make any preparation to celebrate it. So for now, I'll just prepare for a speech.

In this chapter, we finally know Boss' name. This chapter actually give me a different image of the yokai trio and the boss. Also Tsumugu x Reimei ship is sailing and I must say, I really like the chemistry between the two.

Speaking of character shipping, last month I was searching for Ake no Tobari fanfic. And I actually found them. It's on pixiv and safe for work (I think). That means they're in Japanese. One is Reimei x Tobari and the other is Tobari x Reime (yes, there's a difference). Which reminds me, does it count as furry?

Jokes aside (I wrote this on Friday), here's chapter 11. Next week is the aftermath and more human characters.
