Ake no Tobari Ch. 153 & T-Sensei Vol. 5 Ch. 30

Nanaten here. Thank you for the birthday messages on my twitter. Special shout-out to Robubead for the amazing birthday card. I got myself an Elizabeth soft lens case as present. That and knowing everyone who read the latest chapter of Umakawa was crying their eyes out. Happy birthday to me.

Other news: My aunt is undergoing her surgery today. Her son and my mother is accompanying her at the hospital. I wish her surgery goes well.

This week's video: A cover which I think was inappropriate to share last week
I actually did this cover last week, but didn't want to share it because of Kyoto Animation Studio fire literally broke out 9 hours after this video was uploaded. I made a music video for the Indonesian version (you can check that on my channel) released on my birthday afterwards like I did last year with Sugar Song and Bitter Step cover. It also acts as 200 subscribers celebration video. The shooting process was fun. I had a few people helping me with the lighting and shooting the video. So please check that out if you have the time.

Random stuff: The new Fire Emblem game came out. Of course I don't get to play it since I don't have a switch. But Ruby, the leader of our Melon-nin chorus group and a friend of mine, pointed out that Claude looks just like me (or at least his side braid). So that was fun. Maybe next cosplay project?

About this chapter: first, the usual shout-out to Eva (and Mayu) for the always amazing cleaning and typesetting. I have nothing to say in particular about T-Sensei, but Ake no Tobari... So in this chapter we get a glimpse of Iwao's ability after he was trained by Magatoki. But from Ayaka's reaction it's not just Magatoki's training is at works here. What could it possibly mean?

Second, we are finally get the name of that green haired female servant of Magatoki: Medo. From what we know so far, she seems to be the top of Magatoki's underlings. And her job is to manage the other underlings. She also likes to cook udon for everyone. This trait in particular is what stands out the most for me. Which begs the question: which dish is better, Medo's udon or Reimei's rice ball? I asked Robubead about it and he made this beautiful fan art of shokugeki between Medo and Reimei

When I asked him, Robubead said he prefers udon. While I see his point, I can't help but not to resist the temptation of a rice ball with tuna and mayo filling. I like noodles. They are easy to make and comes with different combination of flavors. But my Indonesian blood tells me to side with rice. It like a whisper in my ear chanting "Side with rice! Side with rice!". It's just pulling me into a gluten-free diet.

So what do you think? Which side of the argument are you on? Let me know in the comments. Now I'm gonna go and have a quick meal (Spoiler alert: it's cereal). Next week will be an Umakawa update (provided I finish it in time).
